Behaviour
In my world there are no bad kids, just impressionable conflicted young people, wrestling with emotions and impulses, trying to communicate their feelings and needs the only way they know how. - - Janet Landsbury
The quality of the relationships that exist between the whole Brooklands community lay the foundations for our success. We are firmly committed to maintaining a learning environment that is emotionally and physically safe for everyone and where all relationships are positive and conducive to the well-being of all. Positive relationships are understanding and respectful of every person. They enable us to deal with difficult moments as well as celebrate the fantastic ones that happen during the daily life of school.
We are committed to maintaining an environment in which every member of the school community lives our values through their everyday behaviours and interactions; where everyone treats each other with respect and understanding; show forgiveness when appropriate; and challenge behaviours and attitudes that do not subscribe to our values. Our values are evident through the expectations we have of everyone’s behaviour.
